This week we’re highlighting…Social Justice Committee
The Social Justice Committee is an umbrella committee for working groups that focus on specific social justice; w. We support the groups financially and logistically. In addition, we organize the Pie Palace fundraiser every year on Town Day, have an annual social justice celebration dinner, coordinate Living Our Faith and Shinn services, administer the Giving First Program, and administer our new grant program. We are interested in new members, especially for our two new subgroups, Education and Emergent issues.
Social Justice Working Groups include:

· Blood Drive
· Climate Action
· UU Urban Ministry
· Action Sunday Coordinating Committee
· Racial Justice Coordinating Committee
· Education (new group)
· Emergent Issues (new group)
Who are we?
Mary Cummings and Maureen Dolan are Co-chairs. Other members include Linda Brown, Alan Linov, Hilary Rappaport, Allan Schramm, Anne Wright.
When and where do we meet? The first Wednesday of the month in the Hedge room at 7 pm.

How can you participate in our social justice work?
Join one of our working groups or, for a short-term involvement, participate in any of the activities we run, especially Pie Palace on Town Day.
